I had the product downloaded and my company setup within 30 minutes. Intuit continues to undermine the Desktop version to push end users to online. They tout improvements and features, but really this is a step down from previous years for Desktop version. Even though we do a significant amount of Quickbooks support for clients, if a competitor released a comparable version, I would switch clients to that very quickly.

Not Peachtree though. It is even worse. Quickbooks is what happens when a company has no real competition and decides that this is the year to milk end users dry. So I purchased the downloadable desktop version of QB Premier only to find out from QB that they no longer support desktop payroll and if I wanted payroll services I'd need to buy their cloud-based program of Premier and then add payroll services.

Now looking for an inexpensive payroll software that is stand-alone. Very disappointed with Amazon and QB. Note: I like most people hate Intuit and all their products. I do not recommend them, and if you aren't already an existing customer forced into their greed cycle of paying for the same software every year, run away now.

Like most people I have been using a previous version of QB , and am now forced to pay for the software every year due to Intuit's "change of policy". I also pay for the Enhanced Payroll Service every year, so Intuit has me by the balls and they know it. I purchased, Amazon emails you the license code and a download link within minutes. You must download and install the software using the download link, don't try to simply update your existing version of QB.

You must also have an Intuit account, either create one or make sure you know the login associated with your Enhanced Payroll service. Do this prior to installing. Follow the prompts on screen to complete the setup. I was using Windows After install, open your existing company file using the newly installed version of QB Then go to the help menu and choose "update Quickbooks Desktop" to make sure you have all the updates. Overall the process was fairly smooth and I didn't encounter any issues.

The software automatically recognized I had an existing payroll subscription and I didn't have to do anything other than the standard "get payroll updates" after installation. Note than you can still use the old version of Quickbooks after this new version is installed, however you company file will be converted during the installation of QB, so make sure you have plenty of backups before you start.

If you have issues opening or restoring your company file in QB, use your previous version of the software and create a "Portable Company File", which is one of the backup options. I've had luck in the past restoring a portable company file when a standard backup would not upgrade to the new version. One person found this helpful. I tried every way there is to download. It will not download.

I have all the requirements to download. I enter both of numbers and there is no activation. This product did not work even after uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times Had to purchase a different copy in order to have a working copy of Quickbooks.
